Thank You

Dear All,

Sometimes in this life, we do not give appropriate "thank you's" to those people who have helped us along the ways. You may not know how difficult this blog was to write, in that I wanted to have a customized letter for everyone. I just want to go out an give a general thank you to everyone who has made me the man I am today.

I am a person who enjoys making a fun time for all, and sometimes I can use humor as a vehicle to exhibit my care, compassion or love for individuals. If I have upset you by anything I have said or exhibited a long the way, please accept my apology. I do care for most people I meet...especially those which I butt heads with. Most of the time it is due to a case of me being jealous...of you knowledge, success or other trait.

As I prepare and get ready to continue toward the next chapter of my life, for those people who I was blessed to be in classes with, for those who had aided in my educational experience, for those who have cared for me to allow me to visit their homes at a wonderful 2am just to chat to all my friends...even if we do not agree eye-to-eye on beliefs, convictions or (cough) politics...know that I love each and everyone of you individually. You all have you specific purpose in this life, and I would love to celebrate your accomplishments and screw ups with you. Do not worry, we will all screw up. It is simply a part of this life. I have learned to laugh at my mistakes and always learn from them.

Love, Ken

Just Keep Marching

Do you have "that thing" that you must do, but dislike doing?

I have a few of those tasks . . . one prominent one is programming moving lights. Yes, it is a school project. I have discovered through my educational adventure what I prefer doing is audio or video. Those are easy for me to understand. In those avenues I feel as though I can be creative and can come out with a good product in the end without much trial-and-error on my part.

Do not get me wrong, I respect people that do lighting, it is not something that I prefer to do. I do realize though in the future I will probably have to sit down and program lights for an event. Maybe it is an experience issue though. Maybe it has not become one of my preferred things to do because I have not learned quick and easy ways to maneuver the systems.

Tonight, I was able to take a few big steps forward in my programming for the project. I now have a good understanding through the functions of the console and the lights are working toward the song that I chose. I am keeping my head up though. I will get through it and when it all comes to an end, I can be proud of the programming that I have done.

Missing: Talent.

So I am sending this blog as I watch a live lab at Full Sail. I have to say, the band is awful! With that being said, I do not want anyone in the group to be offended by their performance! I see a lot of knowledge in that group of students. So what if you mis a que, screw up or cut to the wrong camera. Many priceless lessons can be learned in school. At least you made the mistake here and not on tour with a major band or during a live performance!
