So, it is getting to be that time of the year when hurricane's frequent here is in the sunshine state. There are a few "tropical storm" impressions that have developed, but nothing has hit here as of yet. But...the Florida showers come and go as a daily occurrence. Earlier this year, I made another post about the rain. In fact, I think we can look to the rain for many examples in our lives.

In fact, our lives can be like a hurricane. With that being said, we can be having a wonderful week then all of a sudden, a little bit of a mishap can happen which can bring us down and teach us some mighty fine lessons. After a time of storms, the "rain" clears and we continue on as we did before.

he best thing to do in this time is not get frustrated, but learn as much as you can. Life throws many storms our way, take the higher road and never take for granted the sunny days. What are your thoughts? What are you going through that might be encouraging to others?

Forgiveness

Matthew 18:21-22
²¹ "Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” ²² Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

For those that that follow me on Twitter, may have seen this Scripture surface on one of my #worshipwednesday posts this last week. Forgiveness is something that I am dealing with...hardcore in my life. I think that if we are all honest, we all deal with it constantly in one form or another.

At best we are all human. When someone wrongs us, be can't help but get upset. Some deal with it better than others; and to be honest I am doing much better in this area than I was a few years back, but still I still struggle. I've noticed this year specifically, that I brush things off with much more ease. I am not sure as to why, maybe it is God's work in my life and him developing me to be more like him each and every day.

Fathers Day. To all of the fathers out there that have made a positive influence, thank you. Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone, but my father has been one of the most influential persons in my life. I see it more now than ever . . . everyday I become more of the man that my father is. I think like him and have a general overview of life just as he does each day. If you told me that . . . lets say when I was a teen, I would have laughed in your face. Now that I have grown up, been "on my own" for a bit and seen the real world, I saw that my father is very wise and worthy of modeling my life after. I have always respected my father, but I do more today than I have every done before. Thank you, Daddy for everything. It is much appreciated.

On the flip side, I do feel as though those who have not had a father figure in their lives is missing a blessing. I know there is not much the child can do about it, but if you are one of these fathers, I would encourage you to patch things up with your son and/or daughter. The child would covet nothing more than to hear from you or just talk with you on your day.

Thanks for reading. This will start a multi-part blog for me...organized my categories.

I look back upon my life in the last year or so. My "word of the year" for 2009 is "Change." Ironically, this has nothing to do with the political campaign of someone. I realized at the end of 2008 that 2009 would be the year for change in my life and probably others. Change is something that all of us go through in our lives, sometimes good . . . other times not so much.

Organization

As I grow up, I feel the need to live life organized. Nothing is more irritating than living life unorganized. I have put forth efforts to have a better schedule, which includes having a certain time that is consistent for going to sleep each night and waking up in the mornings.

I tend to go to bed earlier and wake up early. When I tell some people this, they tend to think it is odd. In reality, it is not. Maintaining a schedule, I believe, is part of a disciplined lifestyle. It aids in getting certain tasks done while allowing one to get enough rest for the day to follow.

I have always been a stickler for keeping things such as computers, files and movies organized . . . again, another aspect of what keeping with the disciplined lifestyle. I have begun living by a calendar and following that as best as I can. That has helped me to not forget about certain things, which had been an issue in the past.

It is for your best interest, if you do not already to live an organized life. I would really encourage you to do so if you are not already. Organization is key. People respect those who are organized. It makes you as a person look more professional than being unorganized Employers look for individuals that are organized. It makes you more and more dependable.
